Information We Collect

• Location data: Your approximate or entered address is used to show nearby alerts, generate disaster-prediction reports, and improve location accuracy. Location is processed only while the app is active unless you grant background access.
• User-submitted reports: Any alerts or photos you submit are stored securely in our database to support community safety.
• Contact information: Email or account identifiers you provide are used for authentication and notifications.
• Analytics data: Basic usage and performance metrics help us maintain reliability and fix issues.

How We Use Your Information

• To deliver core app features such as alerts, predictions, and reports.
• To notify you about safety events or updates near your location.
• To improve accuracy and performance based on aggregated, anonymized analytics.

AI and Third-Party Services

Blaze Sentry uses OpenAI’s GPT API to generate hazard prediction summaries. Addresses and hazard context are transmitted securely to this service and not stored permanently by Blaze Sentry. We also use Firebase for authentication, storage, and messaging. Each provider complies with its own privacy standards.

Data Sharing and Retention

We do not sell or rent personal data. Limited information may be shared with third-party processors solely to deliver app functionality. Location and prediction data are retained only as long as needed for the active session or relevant alert.

Your Choices

You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. You may also request deletion of your account data by emailing us.

Blaze Sentry provides informational content only. It is not a substitute for emergency services, professional advice, or your own judgment. By downloading, accessing, or using Blaze Sentry, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You assume all risks associated with your use of the app and remain solely responsible for your decisions, actions, and safety.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blaze Sentry and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners are not liable for any harm, injury, loss, or damage arising from or related to your use of (or reliance on) the app, including any alerts, predictions, reports, maps, or user-generated content.
• You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Blaze Sentry and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the app, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
• Blaze Sentry does not guarantee the timeliness, accuracy, or completeness of any information, and has no duty to warn of every hazard. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g., 911).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or limitations of liability. In such cases, the above terms apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
